Rocks, rocks, rocks!

Today workshop at the Little Artists was all about rocks. First we discussed where rocks come from, then looked at different kinds of rocks and felt the various textures. We went to explore the gallery playing geologists, looking for rocks in paintings as well as hidden trail. Each child had a mini torch to pretend spelunking. As a collaboration we all went outside and draw with chalk. Then we came back to the studio and painted real rocks.
